Why Flytec? The 3040 has dominated balloon instrumentation in Europe for years, and with its' recent FCC certification, we are pleased to make it available as an option on all Camerons. Some of the characteristics that have made the 3040 so popular are shown to the right.

Flytec 3040: Feature-rich and fully customizable.

Altimeter: The altimeter displays readings in feet or meters, up to an Absolute altitude of 26,000 feet or 8,100 meters.

Variometer: The 3040 has a visual display that shows both analog and digital readings. The analog display is in the form of an easy-to-read LCD pointer that shows 2000 ft/min ascent or descent rates with a resolution of 40 ft/min over the entire range. The digital readings numerically display over a range of 2000 ft/min ascent or descent, with a resolution of 20 ft/min.

Temperature Measurement: The Flytec's built-in wireless receiver features a display that can read in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. Plus, the Flytec offers several temperature audible alarm features - including a pilot-adjustable temperature alarm that lets you set your own personal never-exceed temperature. A factory-set threshold temperature alarm is also set to the never-exceed envelope temperature.
